What is Veterinary Physiotherapy?

Veterinary physiotherapy is an evidence-based profession, which focuses on assessment and treatment of the musculoskeletal system to reduce pain and restrictions, restore function and optimise health. A veterinary physiotherapist has a holistic approach and uses a combination of manual therapies, electrotherapies and remedial exercises, clinically reasoned by the assessment findings for effective and targeted treatment.

All animals can benefit from physiotherapy, regardless of age or health status! Physiotherapy is not only for animals with a diagnosed condition or those recovering post-surgery or injury. For working and sporting animals, physiotherapy treatment focuses on enhancing performance, reducing the risk of injury, and increasing the longevity of their career.
